A collaborative community project developed with Teresa HR Lane. We are working together with people of all ages throughout the Whangaroa- Bay of Islands region, offering free workshops during October- December 2024 to create an enormous collaged textile banner. A portrait of our diverse community, from their own voices. Using collected waste textiles of natural fibres only, the banner (once widely shared, celebrated and exhibited) will end its life responsibly back in the whenua as a weed mat, assisting a local reforestation plan in Matauri Bay.
